Greetings on this Palm Sunday.

8:30 am Holy Communion

10:00 am Holy Eucharist

Sunday School - Invite the Children

Rev'd John would like you to read the Gospel passage from Matthew 21: 1-11.  Jesus' entry into Jerussalem is a familiar scripture passage, one that has been imortalized in many Hollywood movies.  It is a scene that is often portrayed as joyful, but it is important to remember the undercurrent of danger and anxiety that runs beneath the surface.  Jesus was walking directly into harms way on purpose and with purpose.

To view readings for this week and the entire year, please use this link to the common lectionary.  https://lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu/ (You might have to select the correct Sunday).

Instead of an Easter dramatization put on by the Sunday School, on Palm Sunday, Mar. 29th the children will dress in period costumes and participate in the church service.   The youth will be assisting in various roles such as greeting, carrying up the gifts, collection, and helping with powerpoint .  Any “Older” children up to age 103  are very welcome to join us wearing period costumes too!  See Joy or MJ for details.  Please meet in the nursery from 9:30-9:45 am to pick out a costume.  If you regularly perform these duties, please welcome one of your youth to walk beside you and learn all of the ways parishioners contribute to our service each week.  There will be no Sunday School on Easter Sunday so that the children can share the service with their families.  Many thanks.  Joy!

The Hymns for this Sunday are printed below.  Please google to go over ahead of time.

  1.    Processional Hymn:            All Gory, Laud, and Honour
  2.   Gradual Hymn:                         Hosanna, Loud Hosanna
  3.    Chancel Choir Anthem:      A Festive Hosanna
  4.     Offertory Hymn:                   Tell Me the Stories of Jesus

The Choir Anthem was lovingly given by Janet Hunter in cherished remembrance of
