Greetings on this Thirteenth Sunday of Pentecost / Back to Church Sunday.

  • 9:30 am – Holy Eucharist
  • (Last Sunday of the summer)  Following the Service, our Time Capsule will be opened on the side lawn outside the Office outdoor area.  Invite the children to see this event for the service and opening of the Time Capsule.  Lemonade provided.

Rev. John would like you to open your Bibles to the Gospel of Luke and turn to chapter 14 and read verses 25-33.  This passage speaks to the cost of discipleship.  In the context of the 21st century, what is the cost of discipleship?

To view readings for this week and the entire year, please use this link to the common lectionary.  https://lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu/

The Hymns for this Sunday are as follows:  If possible look them up on Google or Youtube and listen to them.

It was not unearthed on our anniversary.
