Good morning sisters and brothers;
Last night I strolled through our wild meadow, taking in the sights and sounds of God's creation. It is truly a magical spot, set apart from the hustle and bustle of a world gone astray. June in the wild meadow is especially lovely because it is ever changing. It is a visual treat to see the green colours and hues deepen and to see the wild grasses swaying in the warm breeze. The wild meadow is becoming more like a forest, almost impenetrable in some spots. It is a spot where sound takes on a different quality, acoustically sharper and sweeter. The pollinators have returned to the wild meadow in full force. The sound of honeybees and bumblebees hovering above flowers in search of pollen is akin to that of a cat purring. It brings comfort. Before long the fireflies will return to the wild meadow, which in my opinion is as amazing as the return of the swallows of Capistrano.
We have cut foot paths all over the wild meadow. Some look like putting greens at a golf course, smooth and welcoming to bare feet. Others are not. The foot path in the picture was made by cutting through thick brambles. It leads to several trees that were recently planted and who are in need of daily watering. It is not a foot path that a newcomer to the wild meadow might take. I am reminded of one of my favourite poems by Robert Frost called The Road Not Taken. It speaks about the power of freewill, about faith, and about the choices we make in our daily lives.
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
Until it bent in the underbrush;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
And as for the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black;
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on the way,\I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Tow roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Life gets complicated and we are unsure which road we should take. We often choose the familiar because it represents safety . But sometimes we are forced to take the road less traveled, and this makes us fearful But the road less traveled can be a road of opportunity and self-discovery, where our faith is tested at every twist and turn. Anything worthwhile takes effort and determination.
Whatever road you choose today, please remember that it is not taken alone.
Let us pray
Creator , you have brought us in safety to this new day. Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, or be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Paz
Que Diosito me los colme de bendiciones
Con mucho amor
