Buenas tardes amigas;
This morning as I walked outside to feed the birds, the sun crested the eastern horizon. It was spiritual.The birds were waiting patiently, hidden in plain sight in the brambles. Every morning as I get ready to spread the bird seed, they seem to hold their collective breath. They make not a sound. But no sooner than the seed hits the ground, it is mayhem.
Rowan was sitting in his customary place, waiting for his early breakfast. He is a silent fellow, choosing to purr rather than to meow. He loves to be petted, and especially enjoys when he and I rub foreheads together. As do I.
Mornings at Dunblane bring me peace.
As I drove to church this morning, I noticed that drivers in general seem angry and impatient. There is more honking, yelling , and unruly behaviour. This is unfortunate. Unkindness is beginning to spread like wildfire in every aspect of our lives.
But we can do something about this.
Just be kind.
It is that simple.
As the sign in my office states " Don't let kindness go the way of the dinosaurs".
We have agency, the ability to enact change for the good in this world.
Here is your homework, but there is a catch.
Do as many random acts of kindness as you can, but you cannot tell a soul about them.
May you have a lovely afternoon, a peaceful evening and a restful sleep.
If any of you are in need of specific prayers just send me a message . Please remember that I pray for our little reflection group every night.
Paz y mucho amor
John
