Christ Church Memorial Gardens

Following up on the vision of our former rector, the Venerable Kenneth Anderson, Christ Church Chatham added to its already sacred space by creating a Memorial Garden, located just to the East of the church building on Wellington St.  Finished in 1997, the Christ Church Memorial Garden was dedicated and the following plaque installed:

The Memorial Garden is open to all in the community and provides a sanctuary where families and friends can reflect in peace and tranquility when honouring the memory of a loved one.  Cremated Remains are deposited directly into the earth, in areas which are beautifully landscaped.  A wall, encompassing the garden provides a location for granite tablets eternally memorializing  the life and death of each individual resting within the garden or whose remains have been interred elsewhere.
